Kingston’s Camp has been a camp at this location for over forty years. Traffic in South County has increased tremendously. If we know of traffic problems or events at the Ryan Center, which may delay you, we will try to inform you of them through the Updates Page of the Website.
Directions:
From South: Rte 1 to Rte 110 (Ministerial Rd.) entrance
is by Matunuck/Perryville. After 3 miles camp entrance is on the
right. If you pass the bike path you’ve gone too far.
From North East: Rte 1 S. to Rte 138 W., past URI,
at the bottom of the hill there is a stop light, take a left onto
Ministerial Rd (Rte 110), Camp entrance is on the left after the
bike path.
From North West: Rte 2 S. to Rte 138 E. First light
take a right onto Rte 110 (Ministerial Rd). Camp entrance is on the
left after the bike path
Dropping off and picking up your child:
- Please do NOT park in the street by the pond or on the other side of the road!! Please pull into the parking lot but not past the barriers. During busy times please follow the counselor who is directing traffic. They are there to help you. The safety of you and your children are of utmost importance to us.
- For your child’s safety every person is checked in and out of Kingston’s Camp. Please go with your child and wait until the counselors let you know they have completed this safety procedure.
- Please list, on the Parent’s Permission Sheet all of the people who can pick up your child.
- If your child cannot attend camp for any reason please call 401-741-3857 to let us know. Unless requested, we will NOT call you if your child is absent.
- On very hot days free swim may be extended. Please do not pick your child up at the beach, or park your car there. Park in the parking lot and use the cross walk, someone will bring your child up for you. We have specific safety rules for crossing Ministerial Road, please help us follow these rules at all times.
- If you need to pick your child up earlier than usual, please let us know in the morning, when dropping off your child. Please call us on your way to pick up your child at 741-3857 and we will have your child ready for you.
